Description
This large-scale oil painting on canvas by Suzanne French Luker is titled Lunch in the Garden. The work is executed in a contemporary Impressionist style and depicts a sun-drenched patio scene. In the foreground, a prominent wicker armchair with a light-colored cushion sits adjacent to a white architectural column. Beyond the column, a table draped in a white cloth is set for a meal. The composition is framed by a lush garden featuring flowers in shades of red, pink, and blue, all rendered with loose, expressive brushstrokes and a saturated color palette emphasizing natural light and shadow. The painting is signed Suzanne French Luker in red paint at the lower right corner. The artist name and the title of the work are also handwritten in black ink on the canvas overhang on the verso. The painting is stretched on a wooden frame and is housed in a substantial gold-toned frame with a wide, off-white linen liner.
