Description
This oil on canvas painting by Indonesian artist Soedarno KM depicts a village market scene. The composition features numerous figures in traditional dress engaged in commerce amidst tiered-roof architectural structures. The work is executed in a heavy impasto style with prominent, visible brushwork throughout. The color palette incorporates earthy browns and yellows contrasted with shades of blue in the sky and figures. The painting is signed in the lower left corner SOEDARNO KM. It is housed in a simple wooden cove frame with a light finish. The verso shows the plain stretched canvas on a wooden frame with no visible labels or stamps.

Condition report:
The painting exhibits visible craquelure across the majority of the surface, most notable in the lighter passages of the sky and foreground, which is consistent with the age of the materials. There is minor surface dust present. The wooden frame shows light wear and minor scuffing along the edges. No evidence of relining, patching, or restoration was observed on the verso.
