Description
This Queen Anne armchair is constructed from dark-stained mahogany and figured maple. The piece features a yoke-shaped crest rail over a central vasiform splat. The curved arms terminate in scrolled grips on S-curved supports. The front cabriole legs are detailed with carved scrolled ears and end in pad feet, while the rear legs are square and slightly raked. The legs are reinforced by a turned and block H-shaped stretcher. The drop-in seat is upholstered in an off-white fabric with a small-scale geometric square pattern. Notably, the side rails of the seat frame exhibit a prominent fiddleback grain figure.

Condition report:
The chair is in good overall condition with wear consistent with age and use. The woodwork shows scattered minor nicks, shallow scratches, and small dings to the finish, primarily located on the legs, feet, and stretchers. The upholstery appears clean and intact, with the exception of a small, faint dark mark on the right-side edge of the seat cushion. The joinery is solid and stable.
