Description
A Henredon eight-drawer mahogany double dresser from the 18th Century Portfolio collection. The chest features a rectangular molded top decorated with crossbanded mahogany veneers and light-wood stringing. The drawer configuration consists of four small drawers in the top row, situated above two rows of two wider drawers. Each drawer front is faced with figured mahogany veneers, framed by crossbanded borders and light-wood stringing. The drawers are constructed with dovetail joints. The case is supported by a molded base with bracket feet and a central decorative pendant. Hardware includes pierced brass batwing-style bail pulls with matching escutcheons. The interior of one drawer is branded with the Henredon 18th Century Portfolio mark.

Condition report:
Overall good condition. Minor surface scratches and light wear are present on the top surface. A small wood chip is visible on the front right corner of the base molding. Minor scuffs and abrasions consistent with age and use are present along the base and feet.
