Description
This landscape oil painting on canvas is executed in an Impressionist style with prominent impasto and vibrant color. The composition depicts a busy street scene with figures in late 19th-century dress, including a man in a top hat reading a newspaper, a woman in a red shawl, and a figure walking past a horse-drawn carriage. A small brown dog is visible in the lower foreground near floral elements. The painting is housed in an ornate, gilded composite frame featuring scrolled foliate and shell motifs. The verso reveals wooden stretcher bars with the name Fischer inscribed at the corners. A handwritten inventory number 387136 is present on the reverse of the frame.
