Description
This framed serigraph on Westwind paper, titled ‘Cherry Blossoms’, is a detailed still life by artist John Powell. The composition depicts a variety of flowers, including poppies, daisies, and cyclamen, arranged in ornate Asian-style ceramic vessels and a decorated teapot, situated on a woven wicker surface before a window. The work is signed in pencil ‘John Powell’ at the lower right and numbered ‘242/300’ at the lower left. The reverse of the frame features a Certificate of Authenticity from Colville Publishing dated November 1987, stating the image size is 24 x 32 inches and identifying the medium as a serigraph. Also attached to the reverse is a biographical article from a 1982 issue of ‘Art Voices’ magazine. The piece is housed in a gold-finished wood frame with multi-layered matting that includes pink and gold-toned accents.

Condition report:
The serigraph is in good condition with vibrant colors and no visible signs of foxing or moisture damage. The gold-finished frame shows minor wear, specifically several small red scuffs and abrasions along the bottom and side edges.
