Description
A slatted wood hall or decorative bench featuring a modernist design with stylized scroll-shaped arms. The seat is constructed of seven longitudinal slats supported by a rectilinear frame. The scrolled side arms integrate into square-profile legs, which are reinforced by a lower H-stretcher. The underside of the seat includes a central support brace and four metal floor glides are attached to the feet. A small yellow and green adhesive label with a stylized bamboo border is affixed to the underside of one slat. The label bears the inscription MADE IN THE PHILIPPINES.
48 x 16 x 19 inches.
Condition report:
The bench is in fair to good condition with widespread surface wear consistent with age and use. There are visible scuffs, abrasions, and areas of finish loss, particularly concentrated on the armrests and lower stretchers. The piece remains structurally sound.
