Description
Richard Anteau (American, 20th/21st Century). Offset lithograph or commercial poster print on paper. The work depicts a highly graphic and dramatic stylized vintage jukebox, brightly illuminated and set against intense radiating red and black light beams. The central jukebox is flanked symmetrically by two large martini glasses and red vinyl records. The aesthetic strongly evokes 1950s rock and roll and mid-century modern design. The jukebox selection cards list numerous classic rock and roll titles. Inscribed along the lower edge in stylized red and white capital letters is the identification and title: “50’S MODERNE RICHARD ANTEAU.” Housed in a narrow, sleek black metal frame under glazing.
