A set of three Royal Doulton polychrome glazed ceramic character jugs, ‘Mad Hatter’ (D6595), ‘Goose Away’ (D6597), and ‘Pied Piper’ (D6592), Made in England. Each jug depicts a distinct caricatured figure with an animal-form handle. The ‘Mad Hatter’ features a squirrel, ‘Goose Away’ a weasel, and ‘Pied Piper’ a rat on a staff. All three bear the Royal Doulton crown and lion/unicorn crest, "DOULTON & CO. LIMITED COPYRIGHT, " and design registration numbers on their bases.
