Description
A Barro Negro pottery vessel from Oaxaca, Mexico, featuring a globular body, a narrow neck, and an everted, slightly flared rim that appears somewhat asymmetrical or tilted. The surface exhibits a polished sheen with subtle visible stroke marks from the finishing process. Accompanying the piece is a document identifying it as "Folk Art of Oaxaca" from "THE WARD COLLECTION, " exhibited at "The Cleveland Institute of Art" from "February 13 – March 6, 1987."
