Full Estate Liquidation in Sandy Springs
Lot 280:
Description
A Canadian cast aluminum bird sculpture by Hoselton, featuring a polished, curvilinear metallic form characteristic of the maker’s work. The undulating, organic shape, likely representing a bird in flight or at rest, is mounted upon a rough-hewn, natural stone base, appearing to be light beige limestone or marble. Faint handwritten markings are visible on the metallic surface, including a signature (possibly ‘Victor’ or ‘Vic’Torne’), an edition number ‘1/100’, and the word ‘Balcon’. The underside of the stone base features three white circular pads.
Length: 7.75 inches (19.7 cm)
Height: 4.25 inches (10.8 cm)
Condition report:
Good overall condition with minor surface wear and scuffs to the metallic element. The natural stone base exhibits irregularities inherent to the material.
