Description
A polychrome glazed ceramic wall plaque in the Della Robbia style, featuring a central relief depiction of the Madonna and Child, both figures with halos, against a textured blue ground. The central motif is surrounded by a deeply molded, multi-colored border of fruits such as grapes, lemons, pomegranates, and various nuts, interspersed with flowers and foliage. The piece is made of glazed earthenware with a glossy finish. The reverse bears the handwritten marking "M/127", likely an inventory number. Two small holes are present at the top edge, suggesting it was intended for hanging.
