Lot 90:
Description
This long, rectangular bench is constructed from mahogany-finished hardwood in the Queen Anne style. The frame features a rectangular seat supported by four cabriole legs, each accented with a carved foliate scroll motif at the knee and terminating in a pad foot. The underside construction includes a central wooden cross-brace and reinforced corner blocks, identifying the piece as a late 20th-century production. The seat is fully upholstered in a textured, ochre-colored heavy-weave chenille fabric. The underside reveals the interior webbing and stuffing.
Dimensions: 48 x 16 x 19 inches.
Condition report:
The bench is in good, stable condition. The wood finish shows minor surface wear, including nicks, scuffs, and light scratches concentrated on the lower portions of the legs and feet. The upholstery on the top and sides is clean and intact. The protective dust cover on the underside is missing, exposing the webbing and interior stuffing; some stuffing is loose and frayed. Minor dust accumulation is present on the interior frame.
