Description
This botanical still life painting, titled Cut Flowers, is a watercolor on paper by American artist Vonnie Whitworth (AWS). The representational composition features a focal point of vibrant orange and yellow lilies, clustered with blue, purple, and white hydrangeas and small pink blossoms set against a dark background. The work is signed Vonnie Whitworth AWS in the lower right corner, indicating the artist’s membership in the American Watercolor Society. The painting is mounted behind an off-white mat and housed in a large, gilded wood frame with a distressed antiqued finish and red bolus undertones. The verso retains a gallery label identifying the artist and title, and an inventory tag is attached to the hanging wire. A tape measure included in the documentation confirms the dimensions.
Sight: 14 x 21 in.
Frame: 26 x 33 in.
Condition report:
