Description

An original oil wash painting titled Rose Fence by Paul Landry. The composition depicts a woman and a young child walking along a dirt path toward a coastal horizon featuring two sailboats. The left foreground is bordered by a white picket fence with red climbing roses under a large canopy of trees. The work is signed Paul Landry in the lower right corner. It is presented in a gilt molded frame with a layered matting system consisting of a linen-textured primary mat, a reddish-brown inner border, and a gold-tone fillet. The verso of the frame retains an artist biographical slip and a gallery label from Village Gallery identifying the piece as an original oil/wash.

Condition report:

The painting and frame are in good overall condition. The gilt frame shows minor surface wear and small nicks consistent with age and handling. The artwork appears well-preserved under glass and shows no signs of discoloration or damage. Not examined out of the frame.
