Description
This screenprint by artist Barbara J. Hughes is titled Ant and Twenty Eight Friends. The composition consists of twenty-eight red and black ladybugs and a single black ant, organized in three horizontal rows over a mottled yellow-orange field. The work is signed by the artist in the lower right corner and titled in the lower left. The print is housed in a tan mat and a black-finished wooden frame. The back is finished with cardboard and features two sawtooth hangers.
Frame width: 22.5 inches.
Condition report:
Good condition. The print colors remain bright. The matting shows light overall toning and several small spots of foxing. The frame has minor surface scuffs and wear to the edges and corners.
