Lifetime Collection of Atlanta Resident: Part II
Lot 459:
Description
A rectangular writing or side table attributed to the Century Furniture Maison ’47 line, exhibiting a Mid-Century Modern or Transitional style. The table is constructed of light-toned wood, likely oak veneer, presenting a cerused or limed blonde finish. The tabletop features a distinctive geometric parquetry veneer pattern. The single apron is detailed with brass hardware, including a central diamond-shaped keyhole escutcheon plate flanked by two brass pull handles, suggesting a single drawer or concealed apron access. The four tapered legs are accented by angled brass mounts at the top and appear to terminate in metal ferrules.
