Description
This is a vintage hand-painted novelty figurine manufactured by Prelude Creations in 1977. The piece depicts a humorous caricature of an elderly man, dressed in golf attire (yellow sweater, orange cap), leaning heavily on an oversized bottle of “Early Starting Times Kentucky Straight Whiskey” which is resting on a small dolly. The base of the figurine is inscribed with the phrase “feeling no pain,” referencing the man’s apparent inebriation. The back base is clearly marked “Prelude Creations 1977.” The figurine is constructed of resin or chalkware.
