Description
A Dynasty by Heygill Macau hand-painted ceramic plate. This square plate features chamfered corners and a pinkish-mauve ground. It is adorned with stylized, abstract floral and foliate designs in a palette of blues, greens, purples, pinks, oranges, and cream, outlined in black, in an interpretation of Asian motifs. The reverse side has a plain cream glaze and bears a red four-character seal mark, “乾隆年製” (Qiánlóng Nián Zhì), meaning “Made in the Qianlong Reign.” Also present are an oval sticker identifying it as “DYNASTY, ” “HAND PAINTED, ” and “IN CHINA” by “HEYGILL & H.E.P.MD., ” a rectangular sticker noting “FOR DECORATIVE PURPOSES ONLY NOT FOR FOOD USE, ” and a hand-painted red mark “12-6.”
