Description
This lot comprises a pair of decorative lion figures attributed to Kay Finch for Freeman & McFarlin, crafted from molded California pottery with a gilt finish. The first figure is an upright, seated lion with a jovial, stylized expression, featuring a prominent silver-colored mane and a gold-painted body. The second figure is a reclining lion, also finished predominantly in gold paint, displaying prominent stylized mane curls, a textured finish, and yellow-painted eyes, suggesting a decorative, possibly Asian-inspired, aesthetic. No discernible maker’s marks or text are visible on either piece.
