Description
A ‘Cymbaline Lapis’ ginger jar, designed by Terin Cymbeline for Toyo. This ceramic lidded jar features a bulbous body and a domed lid. The dark blue/black glazed surface is extensively decorated with raised, stylized floral and foliate motifs in shades of purple, blue, green, and pink, interspersed with geometric fretwork patterns. The bottom bears a red circular stamp indicating ‘Designed by Terin Cymbeline’, with ‘L2015’ and ‘MA14401’ underneath, and ‘MADE IN CHINA’. A yellow circular sticker also states ‘MADE IN CHINA’, and a white rectangular label warns ‘NOT FOR FOOD USE ARTICLE. MAY POISON FOOD. FOR DECORATIVE USE ONLY.’

Good overall condition. No visible chips or cracks. Residue from a partially removed sticker on the base.
