Description
A figural glazed ceramic bottle or decanter depicting a standing male military officer. The figure is dressed in historical attire, featuring a plumed shako, a green jacket with gold braiding, a white jabot, red breeches, and black boots, holding a gold-hilted saber. The polychrome decoration includes green, red, black, white, gold, and flesh tones, all finished with a glossy glaze. The front of the white, irregular-shaped base is marked "IRISH MIST IRELAND’S LEGENDARY Liqueur" in red capital letters, indicating its function as a promotional or commemorative item for the liqueur. The underside of the base is covered with green felt. This piece is a modern production, likely 20th century.
