Description
41 x 60 A Qing Dynasty Chinese Ancestral Portrait depicting the Qianlong Emperor and Empress. This framed artwork, likely a painting or print on paper or silk, portrays two enthroned imperial figures in traditional attire. The male figure, identified by prominent vertical text in the upper right as “乾隆皇帝” (Qiánlóng Huángdì), or Qianlong Emperor, wears an elaborate yellow dragon robe and a red-crowned hat. The female figure is attired in a blue dragon robe and similar headwear. Both figures are adorned with multiple bead necklaces and are seated on ornate thrones. The style is characteristic of Chinese imperial portraiture, consistent with the Qing Dynasty period.
Condition report:
Good overall condition, consistent with age. Visible creasing and age-toning to the ground material. Colors remain generally vibrant. Housed in a contemporary black frame, which shows minor wear.
