Description
16.5 x 20.5 A mid-20th century landscape painting by Ray Davenport, executed in oil or acrylic on canvas, depicting a blossoming tree on a gentle hill under a cloudy sky in a representational style with visible brushwork. The artwork is signed "DAVENPORT" in the lower right. It is presented in an ornate, antiqued gold-toned wooden frame featuring molded floral and foliate designs. The reverse includes a biographical sheet for artist Ray Davenport and a label for "CAROLINE BUDD’S PICTURE FRAMING" from Atlanta, Georgia. The stretcher bar bears the inscription "36 x 30 F.A. NEW".
