Description
A Capodimonte porcelain footed covered box, marked ‘N ITALY’ and ‘Capodimonte’ to the base. This multi-colored ceramic covered box features high relief decoration characteristic of the Capodimonte style. The circular body and domed lid are profusely decorated with a continuous pastoral scene of winged and unwinged putti amidst trees and foliage, painted in a palette of green, yellow, orange, blue, and red. A central winged putto figure serves as the finial on the lid, which also has a gilded, raised decorative border. The object stands on four gilded, molded paw feet, and both the lid and body rims are accentuated with a prominent gold band.

Condition report:
Good overall condition. Colors remain vibrant, and gilding is largely intact with minimal signs of wear consistent with age and handling. No apparent chips, cracks, or repairs.
