Description
A French 19th Century Louis XVI Style Ebonized and Ormolu-Mounted Marble-Top Pedestal. This tall, square-topped pedestal features a dark green marble top with prominent white veining. The structure is crafted from dark-stained wood, supported by four slender ebonized columns. Each column is adorned with ornate gilt metal Corinthian-style capitals and bases, featuring acanthus leaf motifs. The stand rests on a square, stepped wooden base with small bun feet.

Condition report:
Good condition. Minor surface wear consistent with age and use, including light scratches to the wood and marble. Gilt metal mounts show some minor rubbing and oxidation.
