Description
A limited edition etching by Wallace Bragg, dated 1979. The artwork depicts an elderly, bearded man in profile, holding a dandelion-like flower. It is signed “Wallace Bragg 79” and numbered “45/100” in the lower margin. The print is presented within a beige mat and a narrower brown inner mat, under glass, in a dark brown wooden frame with a reeded profile. The reverse side features a sticker from “Poor Man’s Frame Shop – Collector’s Gallery” located at “1126 Peachtree St. N.E., Atlanta, Ga.”, identifying the work as “ORIGINAL GRAPHICS” and dated “3-21-80,” alongside handwritten notes for “PRICE $35” and a code “94B9C”. The style of portraiture, particularly the depiction of a bearded man, bears a resemblance to works by Alphonse Legros, known for his etchings and portraits.
