Description
A two-part English Neoclassical style bookcase cabinet, constructed from light-toned pine, dating to the late 20th century. The upper section features an arched pediment top with a carved sunburst or shell-like motif, above four open shelves. Flanking the shelves are decorative fluted pilasters with stylized capitals. The lower section consists of a two-door cabinet, each door featuring a raised panel with a carved shell motif, fitted with dark-toned metal pull handles and escutcheons; an internal shelf is visible within. The piece exhibits a distressed finish, with light-colored (appearing white or cream) paint accents selectively applied to highlight carved details, pilasters, and edges.
