Description
A Wedgwood Sage Green Jasperware Scalloped Oval Lidded Trinket Box. This unglazed ceramic box features a multi-lobed outline and a slightly domed lid, executed in a sage green body with applied white bas-relief decoration, consistent with the Neoclassical style. The lid is adorned with a continuous laurel wreath border and a central floral motif. The sides depict various classical mythological scenes with figures, putti, chariots, and stylized tree elements. The underside of the box is impressed with the text “WEDGWOOD” and “ENGLAND”, along with a single letter “J” and another faint, illegible mark.
