Description
A pair of Cedar Mesa Native American pottery vessels. The taller piece is a vase-like vessel with a flared rim and an ovoid body, decorated with stylized abstract and potentially figural motifs in black and faint red/brown lines over a dark, possibly black, slip on a reddish-brown clay body. The smaller item is a squat, open-mouthed pot or bowl, distinguished by bold geometric patterns consisting of triangles, lines, and solid shapes rendered in black and white/cream pigments on an unglazed reddish-brown base. Both appear to be handcrafted.
Condition report:
Both items are in good apparent condition with no visible cracks, chips, or discernible maker\'s marks or text. Minor surface wear consistent with age and handling.
