Description
A framed brass rubbing depicting Lady Margaret Peyton, Cambs 1484. The full-length female figure is presented in profile, dressed in elaborate historical attire evocative of medieval or Renaissance European style. The artwork features a metallic gold/bronze-colored figure with intricate linear patterns against a dark background. It is presented within a black wooden frame with a decorative gold inner fillet, behind glass, and matted with a gold-textured material. A faint, illegible mark is visible at the bottom center of the artwork.
Condition report:
The overall condition appears good, with no significant damage or wear evident to the artwork or frame. The backing on the reverse is intact with hanging hardware.
