Description

A collection of eighteen pieces of vintage pressed glass stemware and serving dishes attributed to Fostoria Glass Company in the American pattern, often referred to as the Cube or Cubist pattern. The lot is composed of three distinct groups. The first group consists of six clear footed glasses featuring a wide bowl with a molded pattern of interlocking ovals or arches around the lower body (Pattern A). The second group consists of six pale pink or amber-tinted footed goblets (Pattern B) characterized by a dense, all-over cubic or diamond-point pressed pattern. The third group consists of six matching pale pink or amber-tinted dessert dishes or coupes (Pattern C) with a shallow bowl and the characteristic cubic exterior pattern, featuring a deeply faceted, starburst-like pattern impressed into the interior of the bowl. All pieces stand on short stems and circular feet. No manufacturer markings or visible text are apparent.
