Description
21 x 67 x 18 An Arneson Korector, also known as an Arneson Squint Korector or Eye Treatment Machine, circa 1930s. This electro-mechanical device features a large circular main unit mounted on a chrome-plated metal tripod stand with casters. The front of the circular unit displays a vibrant gold textured surface with a bold, abstract geometric design in black, red, and blue, incorporating a prominent red and white circular element. A black textured housing sits atop the disc, bearing the embossed inscription “ARNESON KORECTOR” on a silver band. Control panels are located both on the main stand, with dials labeled “REVERSE” and “SPEED” (0-10) along with “MOTOR REVERSING,” and on the rear of the top housing, also marked “ARNESON KORECTOR.”
Condition report:
The item is in fair to good vintage condition. It exhibits dust accumulation and minor scuffs consistent with age and use. The chrome work on the stand appears intact. Functionality has not been tested.
