24 x 46 A Persian Sarouk hand-knotted wool pile rug, featuring a central medallion with pendants on a deep red field. The field is surrounded by an intricate all-over pattern of stylized floral and foliate motifs in shades of navy blue, light blue, beige, and gold. Multiple decorative borders frame the design.
Condition report:
Condition commensurate with age and extensive use. Features widespread pile wear and localized pile loss, particularly noticeable in the central field. Colors are faded. Fringes are heavily frayed and uneven at both ends. Some wear is present along the selvedges.
