Description
4 x 4, 5 x 5.5, 5.25 x 4.5 A group of three polychrome glazed ceramic character jugs. The first, depicting Falstaff, is marked on its base “MADE IN ROYAL DOULTON ENGLAND,” “Falstaff,” “D 6385,” and “COPR. 1948 DOULTON & CO LIMITED,” dating to the mid-20th century. The second jug depicts Thomas Jefferson, featuring a walking stick handle, and bears embossed “ROYAL DOULTON ENGLAND” marks along with a red sticker stating “A PREMIER EDITION OF THE PRESIDENTS COLLECTION by Royal Doulton.” The third jug depicts Theodore Roosevelt, with a rifle handle, and also bears embossed “ROYAL DOULTON ENGLAND” marks and a red sticker stating “A PREMIER EDITION OF THE PRESIDENTS COLLECTION by Royal Doulton.”
