Description
7-10.5 tall. A collection of four ceramic and stoneware beer steins, featuring both traditional German styles and commemorative designs. Three steins are fitted with ornate hinged pewter lids, while the rightmost is an open mug.
The leftmost stein is a squat dark blue and cream stoneware example, depicting a molded village scene with the German inscription "Ein Trunk beim Tanz in Ehren" (A drink while dancing in honor).
The second stein is a taller orange and dark blue ceramic example, showcasing hand-painted figures in a tavern setting and marked "Auf der Alm" (On the alpine pasture/Alm).
The third stein is a multi-colored ceramic example, featuring detailed hand-painted scenes of revelers and bears the visible date "1741".
The rightmost item is an open, tan stoneware mug, identified as a "125th Anniversary Commemorative Stein" for the "Jos. Schlitz Brewing Co., " noting dates "1849 1974" and depicting a cityscape along with "Schlitz Palm Garden 1900’s."
Condition report:
