This piece is a dark-stained wooden desk or console table, designed in a French Provincial or Rococo-style. It features a serpentine rectangular top with rounded corners, encompassing a central panel bordered by a lighter, possibly burled or inlaid patterned wood veneer. The apron is adorned with carved scrolling foliage and a central shell motif. The table stands on four elaborate cabriole legs, each decorated with carved acanthus leaf details and terminating in paw-like feet. The front of the table is fitted with one central drawer and two flanking drawers, each equipped with a circular, decorative metal pull.
